5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals third baseman Matt Carpenter is out of the starting lineup for the third straight game on Saturday. Tommy Edman is at the hot corner again and is hitting seventh against Rockies starter Chi Chi Gonzalez. Carp has been a disaster this year and is hitting .212/.323/.363 with 11 home runs, 48 runs, 33 RBI and six steals on the year. He's been much worse since returning from his injury and might play only sparingly down the stretch. Look for better options in shallow mixed leagues if you're still fighting for a fantasy championship. Edman's value increases in NL-only leagues, but he doesn't have much upside in DFS.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
