5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals third baseman Matt Carpenter is back in the leadoff spot on Friday against Cubs starting pitcher Yu Darvish. As a result, outfielder Dexter Fowler, who has one hit in his last six games (.050 average), is being moved down to the No. 6 spot. On the flip side, Carpenter has eight hits in his last 24 at-bats (.333) with three homers and six RBI in his last seven games. This might just be a temporary move, but it certainly improves Carp's fantasy value for at least the short term and hurts Fowler's. Carp's fantasy owners are hoping a move back to the top spot will kickstart him, as he's hitting a mere .218 on the year with eight home runs, 33 runs, 18 RBI and two steals.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
