6 years agoThe Texas Rangers non-tendered relief pitchers Matt Bush, Zac Curtis, Ricardo Rodriguez and Adrian Sampson on Friday, making them all free agents. The hope is that that Rangers can ultimately re-sign Bush, who is recovering from Sept. 19 surgery to fix a partially torn ligament in his right elbow. He is expected to miss at least half of the 2019 season. Bush was 7-2 with a 2.48 ERA and 0.94 WHIP in 2016, but he has struggled to stay healthy and consistent the last two years. Bush has electric stuff and has the stuff to close when he's right, but we won't find out if he's ready to bounce back until late next year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
