6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that running back Matt Breida (ankle), wide receivers Pierre Garcon (shoulder) and Trent Taylor (back) and tight end George Kittle (knee) are all sitting out of practice on Thursday. San Fran is pretty banged up on offense heading into the Monday night showdown with the Packers. Breida hasn't been ruled out yet but is very questionable to play. If he's out, Alfred Morris will be a volume-based RB2. The team is likely just resting Garcon, Taylor and Kittle, but their practice participation the rest of the week should be monitored. The 49ers passing game has a very limited ceiling moving forward with quarterback C.J. Beathard under center. Marquise Goodwin could also return on Monday, lowering the ceilings of both Garcon and Taylor.
