6 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Matt Breida (ankle) will not play in Week 17 against the Rams after aggravating his ankle injury early in the Week 16 loss to the Bears. Breida's season will mercifully come to an end after playing hurt for most of the season. Despite the bum ankle, he ran 153 times for 814 yards (5.3 yards per carry) and three touchdowns while also catching 27 passes for 261 yards and two more scores. He should mix in with Jerick McKinnon in 2019. With Breida out for the season finale, Jeffery Wilson will be the lead back and will have RB2 upside as long as game script doesn't work against him.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
