3 years agoNew York Islanders center Mathew Barzal recorded a game-high nine shots and had his second goal of the campaign in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to Columbus. He saved a point for the side with Matt Martin and Noah Dobson getting the assists 5:03 into the third period. Barzal led the team in ice time in the contest, logging 21:31. The 24-year-old hasn't yet got going, but the whole team has had a rough start offensively, recording more than two goals just twice in four outings. Barzal and the Islanders should get the goals flowing in the next matchup on Saturday as they travel to Arizona to face a struggling Coyotes team.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
