Mason Rudolph Takes Over For Devlin Hodges
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph has replaced Devlin Hodges under center in Week 16 against the Jets. Hodges came into this one on a short leash after throwing four interceptions in the Week 15 loss to the Bills, and he was yanked against New York after going 7-for-9 for 53 yards and two more picks. That's especially disappointing against a bad Jets Defense, even if they did get All-Pro safety Jamal Adams back on Sunday. The expectations weren't very high for Hodges to begin with, though. Rudolph wasn't any better than Hodges earlier this year as a game manager, but he might be able to give Pittsburgh's floundering offense a spark in a must-win game.
