Mason Miller Taking Rehab Day-To-Day
1 year agoOakland Athletics right-hander Mason Miller (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list on June 30 and was evaluated by Dr. Keith Meister on July 6. Manager Mark Kotsay said that Miller will continue to play catch and go through his throwing program and that the team will take his rehab "day by day." The 24-year-old rookie initially landed on the injured list in May with a right-UCL sprain, and he still has a ways to go before he can rejoin the big-league roster in the second half of the season. Miller was holding his own in his first four major-league starts before suffering the injury, posting a 3.38 ERA (3.09 FIP), 0.98 WHIP, seven walks and 22 strikeouts in 21 1/3 innings pitched.
