Marwin Gonzalez Resumes Running
5 years agoMinnesota Twins super-utility man Marwin Gonzalez (hamstring) tested out his strained right hamstring on Tuesday by running at 70 percent. He also took ground balls before the game. “It felt good. I didn’t feel anything. I feel 100 percent taking ground balls. The running, I feel a little bit tight still, but nothing bad,” Gonzalez said. “Even though I was a little bit tight, it was 100 percent better than how it was in my last two games.” The 30-year-old is mainly useful in fantasy for his position flexibility. He's hit a mediocre .255/.323/.420 with nine home runs, 28 runs, 26 RBI and a stolen base. The good news is the Twins were trying to get him regular playing time before his injury, even on a crowded roster.
