Marshawn Lynch Not Slowing Down
6 years agoOakland Raiders veteran running back Marshawn Lynch had 130 yards in the Week 4 overtime win over the Browns, which was his highest rushing output since going for 140 yards for Seattle against the Giants in 2014. "We've got a good back over there, Doug Martin, who's ready to roll. And Doug can't get on the field. This guy (Lynch) does not want to come off the field. He picked up six or seven blitzes yesterday, too, that no one's talking about. But some of the runs? Good night," head coach Jon Gruden said. Lynch forced 11 missed tackles on Sunday, according to Pro Football Focus, and leads the NFL with 22 missed tackles. He ranks third in the NFL with 3.74 yards after contact per attempt. Lynch ranks fourth in the league with 300 yards on the ground through four weeks, and he's averaging 4.4 yards per carry with three touchdowns. He'll remain a volume-based RB2 heading into Week 5 against the Chargers.
