Marshawn Lynch Could Be Dealing With Long-Term Injury
6 years agoOakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden said he is concerned that running back Marshawn Lynch's (groin) injury could be a long-term injury. Lynch will be evaluated during the team's Week 7 bye. Beast Mode started off the season with a touchdown in three straight games, but he's gone scoreless in three games since then and has 86 yards on 24 carries in the last two games with the Raiders frequently playing from behind. He's a volume-based RB2 that needs favorable game script when healthy, but it appears the 32-year-old back could already be breaking down. If his owners don't already have Doug Martin or Jalen Richard handcuffed, take the bye week as an opportunity to pick one or both of them up. Richard has been the more effective fantasy back in PPR leagues with the Raiders often needing to pass to play catch-up.
