Marlins Considering Anthony Santander
4 years agoThe Miami Marlins have kicked the tires on Baltimore Orioles outfielder Anthony Santander. The Marlins are looking for a productive corner outfielder, and while they don't have much money to spend, they do have prospects to trade. Free-agent outfielders such as Adam Duvall and Eddie Rosario are believed to be too expensive. Santander had a mini-breakout with the O's in 2020, hitting .261 with 11 home runs, 32 RBI and an .890 OPS in 37 games for Baltimore. The 26-year-old also hit .261 with 20 home runs and 59 RBI in 93 games in 2019 in his first extended major league action. Moving to Miami and away from hitter-friendly Camden Yards would be a downgrade for the 26-year-old, but Santander is on the rise and is worth investing in to see if he can take his 2020 progress into the 2021 season.
