Marlins Acquire Luis Arraez From Twins
2 years agoThe Miami Marlins acquired All-Star second baseman Luis Arraez from the Minnesota Twins on Friday in exchange for right-hander Pablo Lopez and prospects Jose Salas and Byron Chourio, according to sources. Arraez won the American League batting title in 2022 by hitting .316 with a .375 on-base percentage, .420 slugging percentage, .795 OPS, career-high eight home runs, 49 RBI, 88 runs scored and four stolen bases in 603 plate appearances and 144 games. The 25-year-old can play pretty much anywhere on the infield and could also be used in the outfield in Miami, but there's no doubt that he'll be playing every day for the Fish. Miami isn't the best hitter's environment, but Arraez is more useful for runs, average and OBP to begin with in fantasy.
