Mark Vientos Goes Yard Wednesday
3 days agoNew York Mets third baseman Mark Vientos went yard in Wednesday night's loss to the division-rival Washington Nationals, smashing his 11th home run of the season. Vientos crushed a two-run homer in the fourth inning to give the Mets a temporary 3-0 lead, tagging Nationals left-hander Mitchell Parker for the blast. In 145 at-bats this year, the 24-year-old hard-hitting infielder is batting .297 with 11 long balls and 29 RBI alongside a .931 OPS. Vientos has solidified himself as New York's everyday player at the hot corner going forward, and he should be rostered in all fantasy leagues until further notice.
