Mark Trumbo To Be Held Out Of Early Spring Games
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Mark Trumbo (knee) will not be ready to play in early spring training games, according to manager Brandon Hyde. Trumbo had knee surgery last September and hit .261/.313/.452 with 17 home runs and 44 RBI in just 90 games for the O's last year. He's two years removed from a career-high 47 long balls and 108 RBI in his first season in Baltimore, though, and Trumbo is a nice source of power if he can stay healthy. There's nothing wrong with taking a flier on him for his pop in deep mixed leagues. After all, he's in one of the best hitting environments in baseball at Camden Yards.
