Marcus Stroman Won't Start Sunday
6 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Marcus Stroman (finger) will not make his next start Sunday against the Indians, according to manager John Gibbons. The team hasn't discussed whether Stroman will be able to make it back this year. Thomas Pannone is likely to take Stroman's turn on Sunday as the team returns to a six-man rotation. Stroman just can't seem to get over his blister issues. With Toronto having nothing to play for, it'd be a surprise to see Stroman make another start this year. He's been a disappointment to fantasy owners for most of the year (5.54 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, 6.8 K/9) and can be dropped in most leagues if he wasn't already. The left-handed Pannone is 1-1 with a 4.58 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 13 strikeouts in 17 2/3 innings over eight big league outings (two starts) and would be a weak streaming option against the Tribe.
