Marcus Davenport Will Miss Time With Pectoral Strain
3 years agoNew Orleans Saints pass-rusher Marcus Davenport (pectoral) suffered a pectoral strain in the Week 1 blowout win over the Green Bay Packers and will miss some time, according to a source. However, the good news is that he should be back sooner than later. The 25-year-old recorded three tackles (two solo) and a sack in the 38-3 win over Green Bay to open the season. A first-rounder in 2018, Davenport played in only 11 games (one start) last season and had 1.5 sacks, 21 tackles (12 solo), eight QB hits and two passes defensed for the Saints. It's a temporary blow to the Saints pass rush, but their defense/special teams will still be a popular waiver-wire pickup after they completely shut down Aaron Rodgers and Co. in the season opener.
