Marcell Ozuna Looking Strong
6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals president of baseball operations John Mozeliak said outfielder Marcell Ozuna (shoulder) was "looking strong, working hard and will begin his throwing program in early February" when he visited with him in the Dominican Republic. The team is encouraged with his progress since having surgery, and Ozuna should be ready for Opening Day, although he'll likely be limited to start spring training. The 28-year-old is still a top-30 fantasy outfielder, but his stock is down after hitting .280 with 23 homers and 88 RBI in his first season in St. Louis after posting career highs with a .312/.376/.548 line, 37 homers and 124 RBI in 2017 with the Marlins. Better health could see Ozuna top his numbers from last year in his second year with the Cards.
