Malik Beasley, Juan Hernangomez Are Headed to 'Wolves
5 years agoThe Minnesota Timberwolves land guard Malik Beasley, forward Juan Hernangomez, forward Jarred Vanderbilt and veteran guard Evan Turner in a massive four-team trade. The 'Wolves traded away Shabazz Napier, Keita Bates-Diop, Robert Covington, Jordan Bell and Noah Vonleh to acquire these players. It's obviously a big roster change for a Minnesota team that has been struggling all season. Beasley is going to be the biggest winner among the new 'Wolves additions. He'll likely get a chance to start in Minnesota with Andrew Wiggins likely shifting to the small forward spot. Beasley played well in Denver when he was in the starting five and he'll get more minutes and touches with Minnesota. It depends on how the 'Wolves use him in their system, but Beasley is looking like someone who should be added in standard leagues right now. Hernangomez is worth keeping an eye on, but it will depend on what the 'Wolves decide to do with him. He's not a must-add right now but could quickly gain value if the 'Wolves decide to start him at power forward. The 'Wolves traded away most of their forwards in this deal, so it sounds like Hernangomez and Vanderbilt will get more of an opportunity now. Turner isn't expected to have much of a role on this team and shouldn't gain any value from the change of scenery. It's a huge roster shake up for Minnesota, so we'll see what they decide to do with their rotation going forward.
