Luka Doncic OK After MRI Shows Thumb Sprain
7 months agoDallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd says guard Luka Doncic (thumb) will be available for Tuesday's In-Season Tournament game versus the Houston Rockets. An MRI has revealed a left thumb sprain for Doncic, who returned to action in Friday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers after receiving X-rays on his hand during halftime. Doncic shrugged off the injury for his 10th 30-point effort of the year already during that meeting, and fantasy managers should be relieved to hear that he isn't going to miss additional time with the issue. The 24-year-old four-time All-NBA guard is racking up top-five numbers in points leagues this season, averaging 30.5 points, 7.8 assists, and 3.8 three-pointers in 35.1 minutes covering 16 games. Assuming Doncic later receives an official green light, he needs to be entrenched in all season-long lineups for a Southwest Division matchup on Tuesday against the Rockets, who admittedly lead the NBA in defensive rating as a team (106.8).
