Luis Rojas Hit With Two-Game Suspension
3 years agoNew York Mets manager Luis Rojas has been suspended for two games by Major League Baseball for his actions during Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates when he got into an argument with the home plate umpire. Rojas will not appeal his suspension and will begin serving it on Monday against the Cincinnati Reds. The Mets lead in the National League East is shrinking, their skipper will miss the next two games and ace Jacob deGrom (forearm) and star shortstop Francisco Lindor (oblique) are on the injured list. With the trade deadline quickly approaching, don't be surprised if the Mets and owner Steve Cohen are extremely aggressive as they attempt to upgrade their roster for a stretch run.
