Luis Arraez Resting In Series Opener
1 year agoMiami Marlins All-Star second baseman Luis Arraez is not in the team's starting lineup for the series opener on Monday against the Cincinnati Reds. With Arraez starting on the bench, Jon Berti is at the keystone and is batting leadoff against Reds left-hander Brandon Williamson. This will be Arraez's first game off since the All-Star break. The 26-year-old hitting machine continues to lead all of baseball with a .375 batting average and 157 hits in 458 plate appearances in his first year in Miami. He's also added a fantastic .420 on-base percentage, .888 OPS, three home runs, 26 doubles, two triples, 52 RBI and 46 runs scored in 107 total games. Arraez should be back on Tuesday and should be returned to all starting fantasy lineups then.
