Lou Williams Shows Signs Of Life
4 years agoLos Angeles Clippers guard Lou Williams has had a disappointing start to the season, but he played an important part in Sunday's 130-127 win over Chicago, notching 21 points off the bench on 6-for-10 shooting. Williams, who went 8-for-9 at the line, played a major role defensively as well with four steals, one of which came late in the game and helped the Clippers pull away for the win. Sweet Lou also dropped four dimes and recorded a team-high plus-16 rating in 24 minutes of action. Entering the game, Williams was averaging just seven points this month, so this should be a good confidence-booster for the 34-year-old veteran. He'll face the Pelicans next, against whom he completely crushed it last season with 50 percent shooting from deep and a 27.3 point-per-game scoring average.
