6 years agoThe Detroit Lions signed free-agent wide receiver Bruce Ellington on Tuesday and waived running back Ameer Abdullah in a corresponding move, according to a source. Ellington caught eight of 12 targets for 92 yards and a touchdown for the Texans in three games earlier this season before he was released. He'll help with depth after the team traded Golden Tate to the Eagles at the deadline, but Ellington is unlikely to come into much fantasy value behind Marvin Jones and Kenny Golladay. Abdullah was mostly a healthy scratch this year behind Kerryon Johnson, LeGarrette Blount and Theo Riddick, and he had just three touches on the season in the three games he was active for.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
