Lions Having Talks About Trading Down
5 years agoDetroit Lions general manager Bob Quinn said that he's had talks with teams about trading the No. 3 pick in next week's draft, and those talks will continue into next week. The Cincinnati Bengals are expected to take LSU quarterback Joe Burrow first overall, and the Washington Redskins will most likely select Ohio State defensive end Chase Young with the second overall pick. That means that the draft will essentially start with pick No. 3 and whether or not the Lions will stay there or trade out of the spot. A team desperate for a quarterback could move up to No. 3 to get ahead of team's like the Dolphins (No. 5) or Chargers (No. 6), who are obvious candidates to take a signal-caller.
