Le'Veon Bell Unlikely To Play In Week 1
6 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell is not expected to play in Week 1 against the Browns, barring an unforeseen development, according to a source. Bell's agent, Adisa Bakari, hinted that Bell would be willing to hold out longer. He has yet to sign his $14.5 million franchise tag and can become a free agent in 2019 if he signs it by Week 11. A source said that the Steelers have no plans to rescind Bell's tender. Bell is one of the most versatile all-around backs in the league and was likely a top-three draft pick in most fantasy leagues. With him likely out on Sunday, James Conner should take over lead-back duties and will immediately become an RB3/flex option. Pick him up if he's available.
