Leonard Fournette In Good Place After Meeting With Team's Brass
6 years agoJacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone is optimistic on running back Leonard Fournette's outlook after he met with the second-year back last week. Marrone called the meeting "encouraging" and said, "I think he's in a really good place." Fournette missed nine games due to injury in 2018 and was also suspended in Week 13 for his involvement in a fight the week prior. He finished with just 439 yards and five touchdowns on 133 carries. Executive vice president of football operations Tom Coughlin also wasn't happy with Fournette's behavior on the sidelines in a meaningless Week 17 game. The Jags brought in Terry Robiskie as the new running backs coach for 2019, hoping he'll have a positive influence on Fournette. He'll turn 24 on Friday, but his injury history in two years in the league isn't good, so fantasy owners won't be so quick to grab him in the early rounds of 2019 drafts. Consider him a risk/reward low-end RB1 for next season.
