Leonard Fournette Expected To Sit Through Bye Week
6 years agoJacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is expected to be out through the team's Week 9 bye and will miss Week 7 against the Texans and Week 8 against the Eagles, according to a source. He hasn't played in a full game this year, and his injury is the main reason why the team traded for Carlos Hyde on Friday. T.J. Yeldon will be a free agent after this year and Corey Grant is on Injured Reserve. Fournette has proven to be a massive first-round bust for fantasy owners. Yeldon will once again be a strong RB2 this week, but he could split the workload more in Week 8 with Hyde, which would limit his fantasy ceiling. The acquisition of Hyde puts even more doubt on Fournette's long-term status.
