LeBron James Won't Suit Up Against Minnesota
6 months agoLos Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (ankle) isn't going to suit up for Thursday's showdown against the Minnesota Timberwolves with left ankle peroneal tendinopathy. Thursday is the second part of back-to-back games for the Lakers, so it's not overly surprising to see the 39-year-old James get the night off after handling 37 minutes in Wednesday's road loss to the Chicago Bulls. The future Hall of Famer just missed his second double-double in a row in that one, compiling 25 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists with two blocks, a steal, plus one three-pointer. We'll deem James day-to-day ahead of Saturday's tilt against the Oklahoma City Thunder. In the meantime, Anthony Davis (ankle) would be L.A.'s focal point on both ends of the floor on Wednesday if he is able to play through an ankle injury. More playmaking will be asked of Austin Reaves as well, while Cam Reddish and Rui Hachimura figure to receive more run.
