LeBron James Starts 19th Season With 34-Point Performance
3 years agoLos Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James got his 19th year in the NBA rolling with a 34-point effort in a 121-114 loss to the Warriors on opening night. He shot 13-for-23 from the field with a 5-for-11 effort from downtown and had 11 rebounds with five assists, one steal and one block. LeBron's night also included four turnovers in 37 minutes. James' minutes have dipped a bit in recent seasons and he'll be 37 in December, but the 17-time All-Star is still an outstanding basketball player and should have plenty of motivation in 2021-22 after getting dumped in the first round of the playoffs for the first time ever in his career. The Suns, who took down the King last season, are the Lakers' next opponent on Friday.
