Lance Lynn Ejected After Tossing Belt At Umpire
3 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Lance Lynn was ejected from Wednesday's game against the Oakland Athletics in the middle of the fourth inning. The ejection came after umpire Nic Lentz visited Lynn in the dugout to inspect him for foreign substances. Lynn had already given Lentz his glove and hat, but Lentz went on to request Lynn's belt as well. Lynn threw the belt at Lentz and that was enough to prompt Lentz to eject him. Lynn was pitching well in the game before the ejection. He went four innings and allowed three hits, three walks and one earned run while striking out four. His next start will be on Monday against the Toronto Blue Jays.
