Kyle Tucker Called Up Sunday
6 years agoHouston Astros outfield prospect Kyle Tucker was called up from Triple-A Fresno on Sunday. Tucker is a top prospect in baseball and hit .332/.400/.590 with 27 doubles and 24 home runs in 100 games with Fresno this year. He's the team's No. 2 prospect but probably won't see enough playing time to close out the season to be worth rostering in single-year formats. Tucker should be owned in most dynasty/keeper leagues, though. “Calling Tucker up now is more a reward for the season he’s had,” manager A.J. Hinch said. “He’s been incredible in the minor leagues, we want him to continue to get a little bit of experience. If it’s in short spurts, great, if I can get him some at-bats in the next couple weeks that’s great for us as a team and great for us as a player.”
