Kyle Gibson Being Eased Into Spring Action
6 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Kyle Gibson (illness) may not appear in a spring training game for another week or so as the team brings him along slowly after his bout with E. coli last month. Gibson should be just fine for Opening Day. The 31-year-old right-hander had his best season in the majors in 2018, going 10-13 with a 3.62 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 179 K's in 196 2/3 innings (32 starts). While his stock is on the rise, he's also never gone over 200 innings in his big league career in his six seasons, although he's certainly worth grabbing as rotation depth in deep mixed leagues in the late rounds.
