Kyle Freeland Pitches Through Calf Cramp
6 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland (calf) dealt with a cramp that got progressively worse in his start against the Diamondbacks on Thursday, according to manager Bud Black. However, there is no cause for concern. The left-hander was solid on Thursday, allowing four hits and three earned runs while striking out six over 6 1/3 innings for the quality start and win. He's now 15-7 on the season with a 2.96 ERA and 7.83 K/9 on the year. Expect Freeland to make his next start.
