Kyle Bradish Undergoes Tommy John Surgery
5 months agoBaltimore Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish (elbow) underwent Tommy John surgery with an internal brace on Wednesday, according to general manager Mike Elias. Bradish will now miss the next 12 to 18 months. He's the third Orioles starter to have season-ending elbow surgery this month. The 27-year-old was originally diagnosed with a partial UCL tear in his right elbow in mid-February, but he chose to rest and rehab and ended up making eight starts for the Orioles before his elbow eventually gave out. In his eight starts for Baltimore, Bradish looked good, going 2-0 with a 2.75 ERA and 1.07 WHIP with 53 strikeouts and 15 walks in 39 1/3 innings pitched. Along with his mini breakout in 2023, Bradish's stock is on the rise, it's just too bad that he'll almost certainly miss the entire first half of the 2025 season as well.
