Kris Bryant Not Expected To Need Surgery
6 years agoChicago Cubs president Theo Epstein said that third baseman Kris Bryant (shoulder) is not expected to need offseason surgery. Bryant's 2018 season was a disaster because of his shoulder injury that he suffered during a slide in June. He was gone for an extended time and wasn't the same in the second half when he returned. The former MVP finished with a .272 average and only 13 home runs, 52 RBI and 59 runs scored in 102 games, his fewest in four seasons. With full health in 2019, Bryant should be able to return to elite levels of production from the third base position. His eligibility in the outfield makes him more attractive, too.
