Kole Calhoun Agrees With Diamondbacks
5 years agoThe Arizona Diamondbacks agreed to a two-year deal worth $16 million guaranteed with outfielder Kole Calhoun on Tuesday, according to a source. The deal comes with a $9 million club option for 2022 with a $2 million buyout. The Arizona native will return home after spending the first eight years of his career with the Angels. Calhoun had a career-high 33 home runs in his final season with the Halos, slashing .232/.325/.467 with 74 RBI and 92 runs scored in 152 games. The move to Arizona isn't a bad one for the corner infielder, where he should be an everyday player for the Snakes. Calhoun swings and misses too much to help fantasy owners in average, but he should be a nice depth piece for rosters in mixed leagues.
