Knicks Watching Future Of Giannis Antetokounmpo
2 years agoAccording to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, the Knicks are watching the situation between the Bucks and forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. "The New York Knicks, for example, they have got 97 percent of their attention on the Miami Heat and three percent of their attention on Milwaukee," reported Windhorst on an episode of ESPN's First Take. Many factors could play into the multi-time MVP's desire to remain in Milwaukee, including the future of Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez, who will be free agents. The Bucks also recently fired head coach Mike Budenholzer, who led the team to an NBA Championship in 2021. Nevertheless, Antetokounmpo is up for a contract extension in September. However, it would be very surprising if he signs unless the front office demonstrates a commitment to winning another title.
