Kirk Cousins Doesn't Expect More Contract Talks Until Next March
1 year agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins said he hasn't had further contract-extension talks with the team since the sides agreed this spring not to work out an extension, and he doesn't expect any talks until next March when his deal expires. "Until then, just focus on this season and the job to do right now," Cousins said. How Cousins performs in 2023 will likely determine what happens next spring, but the Vikes may want to move on from the veteran 34-year-old regardless with a new front-office regime running things. While Cousins hasn't had much playoff success in Minnesota, he has the best receiver in the game at his disposal and finished as the QB6 in fantasy in 2022. He's had 3,500 passing yards and 25 TDs in eight straight seasons and will be a low-end QB1/high-end QB2 target in fantasy drafts.
