5 years agoThe Oakland Athletics will try to get through Friday without outfielder Khris Davis (hip, oblique) before making a decision on whether to place him on the injured list. The want to see if two days off help him and also want to see his MRI results. We'd be surprised if Davis avoids the injured list altogether after battling a hip contusion off and on since May 5. The 31-year-old slugger is hitting .248 (39-for-157) with 12 homers, 23 runs and 29 RBI on the year. Mark Canha will see more at-bats in the designated hitter spot for however long Davis is out.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
