3 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Kevin Gausman has been one of the best pitchers in fantasy all year long, but he's hit a bit of a rough stretch lately. He's failed to reach the end of the fifth inning in each of his past three starts. Over that three-start stretch, he's pitched a total of 11.2 innings and he has allowed 17 hits, nine walks and 11 earned runs. Gausman now has a 2.35 ERA on the year. However, he has a 3.19 xERA and a 3.45 xFIP, so he was due for some negative regression. Fantasy managers shouldn't panic. While he may not continue to be a top-five pitcher throughout the final stretch of the year, he still has a good chance to be a top-20 or even a top-10 pitcher going forward.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
