Ke'Shawn Vaughn To Be Pass-Catching Back?
5 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers aren't sold on running back Ronald Jones II as a pass-catching back for quarterback Tom Brady, so there will be added pressure on rookie third-rounder Ke'Shawn Vaughn to learn the protection schemes in an abbreviated offseason. NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal doesn't rule out Tampa making a veteran pickup or low-level trade at the position heading into the season. Jones, 23 in August, bounced back after a disastrous rookie season in 2018, but he had just 31 receptions in 2019 and his pass-blocking remained suspect. It will obviously limit his fantasy appeal if he can't improve in that area. The Bucs certainly need to keep Brady's jersey clean if they want to win. Vaughn could have some fantasy appeal in Year 1 in deep PPR leagues.
