Kerryon Johnson Not Seen At Practice
6 years agoDetroit Lions rookie running back Kerryon Johnson (knee) was not seen at the open portion of practice on Wednesday. Johnson sat out on Thanksgiving last Thursday, and he doesn't look to be trending in the right direction to play against the Rams in Week 13. That means that LeGarrette Blount, who had two scores last week, will remain the bell-cow back on early downs and short-yardage situations. He'll be a touchdown-dependent RB2 that will cede passing work to Theo Riddick. With receiver Marvin Jones out for the rest of the year, Detroit has precious few playmakers left on offense. That makes the Rams defense/special teams a strong start this week, especially if they get cornerback Aqib Talib (ankle) back this weekend.
