Keon Broxton Unhappy With Playing Time
6 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Keon Broxton expressed his frustration with his lack of playing time on Thursday. He struck out swinging as a pinch-hitter to end the game to drop his average to .143 and OPS to .371. "I’m not here to make excuses or anything," Broxton said afterward. "I think everybody in this game knows it’s really hard to do, come off the bench and do it. Getting one [start] a week, if that. It’s definitely tough." The speedy outfielder has started 10 of the team's 42 games this year, but he has failed to produce when he's been in there. You can leave him to the waiver wire in mixed leagues. In the last month, Broxton has one hit and eight strikeouts in 21 at-bats.
