Kenyan Drake Signs Transition Tender
5 years agoArizona Cardinals running back Kenyan Drake officially signed his transition tender on Saturday. Drake was traded from the Dolphins to the Cardinals last year and excelled in the second half of the season in the desert, rushing 123 times for 643 yards (5.2 yards per carry) and eight rushing touchdowns. He also added 28 receptions for 171 yards out of the backfield. With David Johnson being traded to the Texans last week, Drake has this backfield all to himself with an exciting young quarterback in Kyler Murray at the helm. Arizona's offensive line is a concern, but Drake should be a bell-cow back in an offense that could put up some points with the recent acquisition of wideout DeAndre Hopkins. The 26-year-old has obvious RB1 upside in his first full season with the Cardinals.
