Kenley Jansen Working On Slider In Camp
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen threw a bullpen session on Friday with Rick Honeycutt, Orel Hershiser and Joel Peralta in order to work on his slider. Jansen said he worked on his cutter and two-seamer in the offseason, but he said he needs to devote some time to improving his slider. Jansen had a career-high 3.71 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 11.4 K/9 with 33 saves in 51 outings last season. The three-time All-Star has slipped a bit in the last two years with ERAs over 3.00, but Jansen is still a top-five fantasy closer that could earn the top spot easily when all is said and done in 2020 if he has three putaway pitches to work with.
