Kendall Wright Could Be Game-Day Inactive Often
6 years agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Kendall Wright doesn't do much on special teams, so head coach Mike Zimmer hinted that Wright could be inactive on game days. "Probably won't be dressed on game day," Zimmer said. "I can't dress six WRs on game day and they don't help us on special teams." The 28-year-old has one 1,000-yard season, but it came in his second year in the league in 2013 with the Titans. Wright managed 59 catches for 614 yards and one touchdown in his lone season with Chicago in 2017, but that was on a team without many other options at wideout. In Minnesota he has Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs and tight end Kyle Rudolph all ahead of him in the pecking order. Unless an injury opens up more of a role for him on game days, Wright can be avoided.
