Ken Giles Day-To-Day With Nerve Inflammation
5 years agoToronto Blue Jays closer Ken Giles (arm) is being listed as day-to-day with nerve inflammation in his right arm, which was the result of getting a massage, according to manager Charlie Montoyo. Giles wasn't available on Saturday and won't be available on Sunday either. Daniel Hudson pulled out the save against the Yankees and would be in line for regular ninth-inning duties for Toronto if Giles is forced to go on the injured list. With the trade deadline looming and Toronto set up as sellers, Hudson could also gain a lot of fantasy value in the near future if Giles is traded. Giles doesn't think the injury is serious, but it's certainly worth watching. Fantasy owners in need of saves should scoop up Hudson just in case.
