Kellen Moore Expected To Become Cowboys Offensive Coordinator
6 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys haven't made an official decision, but Kellen Moore is expected to be the team's next offensive coordinator, while Jon Kitna is expected to be hired as quarterbacks coach. Head coach Jason Garrett won't be calling plays, but tight ends coach Doug Nussmeier will also have more influence over the offense. Moore was previously the team's quarterbacks coach, so he'll receive a promotion. Dallas' offense struggled to do anything outside of Ezekiel Elliott until the team traded for receiver Amari Cooper. They ranked 22nd in yards per game (343.8), 23rd in passing yards (221.1), 10th in rushing yards (122.7) and 22nd in points per game (21.2). Moore's main task will be to continue the development of quarterback Dak Prescott.
