Keke Coutee Trending Toward Being Active
5 years agoHouston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien said that wide receiver Keke Coutee (ankle) is "trending toward being able to play" in Week 2 against the Jaguars. Coutee has practiced in full all week after being inactive in Week 1, so if he doesn't play this weekend it probably won't have anything to do with his injury. The second-year receiver's injury concerns were the reason why Houston acquired Kenny Stills from the Dolphins, and Stills could end up leaping Coutee on the depth chart in the slot full time. Even if Coutee is active and makes his season debut, there's too much competition for snaps out of the slot with Stills and Deandre Carter. Coutee should be on your bench this weekend.
